Every Cydermaster Tour starts with a Vintage Tractor Ride tour through our orchards on Big Bertha, our 1950s Fordson Major tractor!
There are approximately 3,000 trees spread over our 20-acre orchards, which is the largest orchard in Cornwall.
Named after the founders, David & Kay Healey, here you’ll gain some interesting insight into how our cyder was made at the farm back in the 1980’s plus you’ll be shown some of the original equipment that was used!
Cyder making has come a very long way in the last 40 years!
Next up is a visit and guided talk of our impressive cyder vats and brand-new apple pressing facility which opened in early 2023.
Here you'll discover more how we press our apples, capture the delicious juice and the magic taking place in the famous cyder vats which hold a combined 1.2 million litres of apple juice!
You'll be given a detailed tour of the Healeys production halls, where our famous Rattler Cyder is bottled, labelled, packaged, and kegged every day!
We regularly bottle approximately 6,000 bottles of cyder per hour, and you'll get a birds-eye view whilst your tour guide furnishes with you some "inside knowledge and secrets!".
Finally, you'll head down to the Secret Healeys cellar bar where you'll learn the art of cyder tasting. You’ll be taught about the key components of an apple (acidity, sugars and tannin) whilst learning how we balance them to craft different cyders.
Adults of the group will then sample 3 selected cyder, each with a different taste profile and you’ll put that newly acquired knowledge to the test to see if you can pick out the various elements!
And of course, kids & non-drinking adults won’t miss out! During the tasting part of this experience, apple juice & Avalade will be provided as a substitute for the cyder.
Available from September 4 to October 29, this tour runs 7 days a week at 11:00am and 2:30pm.

The Cydermaster Tour runs for approximately 1 hour, includes a Tractor Ride and can only be booked in addition to standard entry tickets.
This tour is not available during the school holidays. A family-friendly version is available instead. Dogs are not permitted on this tour.
