When you’re in Cornwall, you should make time to fit in a beach day trip. Cornwall has some of the top beaches in the UK and they showcase some of the most impressive landscapes that the area has to offer. It doesn’t matter on the type of day trip that you’re looking for, there’s sure to be a beach that ticks every box.
Our Favourite Cornish Beach Day Trips
- Enjoy a Family Day Trip to Fistral Beach – Heading to Fistral Beach as a family is one of the top beach day trips in Cornwall, one that’s popular with tourist and locals alike. Fistral Beach has great surf, beautiful sand, lots of space and all important facilities. There are shops, restaurants, toilets and parking. If you’re looking for a beach to spend the entire day out, Fistral Beach is ideal.
- Get Out and Surf at Constantine – If you are looking to enjoy a surfing day out in Cornwall, consider heading to Constantine. There are a few different areas to surf at Constantine, which means that it has a lot to offer and no two visits are alike. There’s the main beach, as well as two other key areas. You’ll always find a lot of surfers and bodyboards at Constantine, but that’s not to say it’s an overly crowded or busy place to go. If you’re a beginner Constantine may not be the ideal place to surf, as there are rips and reefs which can be hazardous. If you’re a beginner, Fistreal Beach and Polzeath are probably better.
- Take Your Dog to Summerleaze Beach – Summerleaze Beach is one of the most popular dog friendly beaches in Cornwall, which makes it an ideal place to go for a day trip. It’s important to remember that dogs must be kept on a lead between May and September, as this is when the beach is at its busiest. However, there’s still a great deal of space for them to roam. Though there are a fair few dog friendly beaches in Cornwall, Summerleaze Beach’s great location makes it perfect for a beach day trip.
If you’re interested in a day trip in Cornwall that’s away from the beach, consider visiting Healey’s Cyder Farm. At Healey’s Cyder Farm, we have things to see and do for the whole family. This includes farm animals, tractor rides and guided tours. To find out more about our top attractions, get in touch.
