Things to do at the farm throughout the year

Events in Cornwall

If you are looking for things to do in Newquay and Truro at one of Cornwall’s top visitor attractions, take a look at our best family events and activities throughout the year.

Whilst our farm is open all year round for tours, tasting, homemade food and drink and visiting our friendly farm animals, plus much more, at special times of the year we host a range of fun events giving you even more exciting things to do in Cornwall.

Our events calendar starts with one of the best things to do at Easter with a free Easter hunt and a Peter Rabbit-themed Cornish afternoon tea experience like no-other.  This is followed by our first Blossom Blessing weekend in May, where our orchards transform from bud to beautiful flower; a spectacular sight not to be missed. The farm celebrates this weekend, with foodies and cyder fans tucking into our new cyder suppers night hosted in The Old Bottlery Restaurant.

Parents and carers with children under five, will love soft play sessions each Friday with the renowned Jump with Jo in the Mowhay Tea Rooms.

Little Orchard Cider & Music Festival returns for 2018 at Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm.  The weekend includes hundreds of ciders and a great line-up of music plus festival tents and camping.

To celebrate harvest season in October and National Apple Day, Healeys hosts a range of extra activities on the farm including apple pressing and The Cornish Apple Bobbing Championships. Over Halloween, the farm and orchards become a spooky sight. Trick or treat hunt, trembling tractor rides and candle-lit cellar tours presents entertainment for all ages.

The year ends with a festive celebration across the farm.  Our cobbled courtyard transform into beautifully lit Christmas markets and craft fair.  Choirs, Christmas trees, mulled cyders and special family tours make a truly magical experience for everyone.

Our famous, homemade Sunday roasts in The Old Bottlery Restaurant are served throughout the year (excluding the summer holidays).
