Vintage Tractor Ride

Vintage Tractor Ride

The Healeys Guided Tour starts at the very beginning of our cyder making journey, with the humble apple! You’ll climb aboard Big Bertha, our 1950s Fordson Major tractor which will transport from the farm and down the alley to our family orchard.

There are approximately 3,000 trees spread over our 20-acre orchards, which is the largest orchard in Cornwall.

Production Halls & Kegging Line

Production Halls & Kegging Line

Next, you'll be given a detailed tour of the Healeys production halls, where our famous Rattler Cyder is bottled, labelled, packaged, and kegged every day!

We regularly bottle approximately 6,000 bottles of cyder per hour, and you'll get a birds-eye view whilst your tour guide furnishes with you some "inside knowledge and secrets!".

Kay’s Cyderhouse

Kay’s Cyderhouse

Then, we'll take a visit and guided talk of our impressive cyder vats and brand-new apple pressing facility which opened in early 2023.

Here you'll discover more on how we press our apples, capture the delicious juice and the magic taking place in the famous cyder vats which hold a combined 1.2 million litres of apple juice!

And as you venture downstairs to the ground floor of Kay's Cyderhouse immerse yourself in the history of our treasured Austin-Healey classic cars.

Jam Kitchen

Jam Kitchen

Follow your nose to the sweet smells of the jam kitchen. Wander across the cobbles to discover a range of freshly made jams, chutneys and sauces and watch them being made in traditional, open kettle pots.

Discover new flavour combinations (Cherry and Vanilla is one of our favourites!) and work your way though sampling them all to find the perfect preserves as a memory of your visit.

The David & Kay Workshop & Cyder Museum

The David & Kay Workshop & Cyder Museum

Named after the founders, David & Kay Healey, here you’ll gain some interesting insight into how our cyder was made at the farm back in the 1980’s plus you’ll be shown some of the original equipment that was used!

Cyder making has come a very long way in the last 40 years!

The Healeys Distillery

The Healeys Distillery

At the time of installation, our copper pot still was the smallest in operation in England at just 1,200 litres capacity and you’ll be given a fantastic insight into just how a copper pot still works and the process of how we craft various different spirits here at the farm.

Coopers Workshop & Cellars

Coopers Workshop & Cellars

Once a spirit has been expertly crafted, the next most important step for the likes of Brandy, Rum & Whiskey is maturation which takes place in our underground cellars.

You’ll learn how a cooper makes wooden barrels, the definition of angels’ share and more about the spirits resting quietly below ground!
