Reviving a Lost Tradition

In 1903, whiskey production in England came to a halt when the last distillery closed its doors. It wasn't until a century later, in 2003, that English whiskey was reborn-right here at Healeys! We are proud to be the first whiskey distillery in England since the 19th century, making us the home of England's oldest whiskey!

Hicks & Healey Cornish Whiskey was created from a handshake between two pioneering family businesses- Healeys Cyder and St Austell Brewery. Combining generations of craftsmanship, we brought English whiskey back to life in Cornwall.

Made from the choicest ‘Maris Otter’ Cornish barley, expertly brewed by St Austell Brewery and then distilled, matured and aged by Healeys to create this extra special Cornish Whiskey.
