In this role, you will represent the Company in a positive light, keeping the production areas clean and safe while assisting with other production tasks as needed.

On a day-to-day basis, your success will look like:

  • Cleaning of building fabric such as walls and floors, storage areas such as warehouse and the stripping, cleaning, and reassembly of related equipment in such a manner that meets required health, safety and hygiene standards.
  • Carrying out hygiene operations in such a manner so as to ensure that physical, bacterial, material and chemical contamination of food does not occur, to recognise potential contamination issues and to ensure the early reporting of potential contamination issues to relevant personnel.
  • Responsible for using and operating all tools, plant, and equipment to prescribed training standards, including the usage, storage and application of chemicals and ensuring that correct concentration levels are observed at all times, ensuring that relevant PPE is worn at all times during application.
  • Responsible for carrying out all deep cleaning requirements within relevant working area.
  • To work with Compliance officers, technical and shift supervisor/managers to resolve hygiene issues, such as swab failures, audit findings and to assist in identifying hygiene issues.
  • Subscribe to a quality approach, valuing cleanliness and team work to maintain the highest standards of housekeeping and hygiene.
  • Responsible for signing off all relevant paperwork when required and to ensure sign off complies for auditing purposes.
  • To undertake any other reasonable request as set out by the Technical Manager.
  • As hygiene activities vary in time requirements and busy /quiet periods, The operative is responsible for maintaining a close working relationship with all other members so, at the quietest time, absences and holidays can assist in covering the Technical Department and Production when required.

While personality and fit are important to us, preference will be given to applicants who can showcase the following qualifications and skills:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
  • A drive for continuous improvement

  • Conduct Hygiene Audits on site.
  • Level 2 food safety
  • Level 2 HACCP knowledge / training
  • Team Player
  • A good understanding of both spoken & written English

Hours: Flexible hours within core hours of 6am-9pm. 30-40 hours per week.

Starting wage - £10.90 per hour
