We are recruiting a dynamic individual to join our Finance team as a Management Accountant. Working closely with the Finance Business Partner you will be responsible for the timely preparation of tasks for the Company’s management accounts and period forecasts. You will also support the wider Finance Team to achieve their functional objectives and the wider business with a range of financial and other tasks.

Close down purchase ledger, sales ledger, cash ledger and nominal ledger at period end.

Populate management account template with prior year results, as well as forecast reporting.

Calculate and post journals for prepayments and accruals.

Preparation and posting of other period end adjustments in line with current checklist.

Preparation of supplementary reports for management pack, to include variance & analysis reports.

Weekly posting and reconciliation of wages to Opera.

Post Stock figures and investigate any variances within the stock.

Identify where figures vary from forecast / budget and pass to Finance Business Partner.

Responsibility to collate management pack, including receiving reports from all department heads.

Drive to improve current system and automate where possible.

Preparation of Ad hoc reports as requested.

Assist Finance Business Partner with other reporting requirements.

To be open to completing tasks which may fall outside of your role or remit.

Skills Required

· Qualified Accounts Technician (AAT) or QBE

· Excellent Excel skills

· Be a team player and willing to assist with all tasks required.

· Taking responsibility for core tasks.

· Use of Pegasus Opera.

· Good team player

· Rigorous, methodical and logical approach to problem-solving

· Organised with excellent time management

· Keen to get involved. With a hands-on approach

· Strong communication skills (IT, verbal, telephone & written)

· 5 GCSEs or equivalent at grade C or above to include Maths & English

Salary: £28,000.00 per year
