You will lead the reporting and transactional accounting service for Cornish Scrumpy Company Ltd (CSCL) and provide support across all other companies within the Healeys group, ensuring that your team has the guidance and support to do this. You will support the HoF through the review and continual development of robust internal control policies and finance procedures. You will also support to manage cashflow of CSCL to ensure it is stable throughout the year. You will prepare and submit statutory returns, both regular and ad hoc.

The key deliveries for this role are:

· You will ensure financial arrangements are in place to allow Board decisions to be enacted through liaison with HoF, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Directors as necessary.

· You will manage the process of reporting to ensure management accounts, forecasts and reporting are delivered to deadlines.

· You will deputise for the HoF to cover annual leave etc to ensure management accounts, forecasts and reporting are delivered to deadlines.

· You will ensure that financial infrastructure, systems and procedures are in place to meet business needs by liaising with both internal and external parties.

· You will provide oversight and control over the purchase ledger function for all CSCL to support the Group’s procurement needs. Manage agreed deadlines for supplier payments to be made to agreed terms.

· Ensuring team are processing invoices timely and accurately, including all invoices paid by DD. Ensuring that the creditors ledger is accurate, overdue payments are controlled, unallocated and negative balances cleared timely.

· Utilise KPI’s to drive performance of the team, and completion of KPI’s to HoF.

· You will provide oversight and control over the Sales Ledger for all Group Companies, working to reduce the number of bad debt write-offs and less than 3% of the ledger is 2 months over terms.

· Ensure on-site cash is reconciled in line with agreed timescales and completion of weekly cash variance report to HoF.

· Working closely with HoF, develop, implement and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures and ensure compliance with UK GAAP.

· Along with the HoF, develop financial management strategies to reduce financial risk.

· Provide reports as needed to HoF, and ensuring the team are providing the required information timely at period end and year end.

· Regular review of CSCL balance sheet to ensure all control accounts are reconciled and controlled.

· Lead your team ensuring that they have the tools and knowledge to be able to effectively carry out their roles.

· Ensure sufficient cover across the finance team so that all tasks are still completed during staff absences.

· Completion of statutory returns as required, including but not limited to, EX606 duty return, W5 Duty return, VAT return, ONS surveys.

· To be open to completing tasks which may fall outside of your role or remit with a positive, sleeves rolled up mentality.
