Warehouse Supervisor

Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm is a family-run, admission-based visitor attraction and home to the thriving production house of the famous Rattler Cyder! Since the company was founded in 1980, Healeys has grown incredibly, with listings across big supermarket chains such as Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Asda and Morrisons, in addition to our regional and national wholesale partners. With a multi-faceted production facility specialising in a range of products from ciders, wines, preserves and spirits, our business is thriving and has a very exciting future ahead.

A fantastic opportunity is available to join our busy Logistics team, to become a permanent part of an iconic Cornish business, and to make your mark in this exciting role as Warehouse Supervisor.

Salary: £27,000 - £31,000 per year

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday (some weekends where necessary)

Duties & Responsibilities

Have a focus on Health and Safety, setting the example to the rest of the team and adhering to accepted procedures to reduce unwanted events and accidents.
Responsible for the overall successful running of all warehousing and storage for the Company, both on site and off site (as needed).
Oversee all goods in and goods out for the site, leading a team to achieve the logistics plan.
Lead your team in their daily activities, ensuring all required tasks are completed and records are up-to-date.
Provide other internal departments with the best service possible when it comes to kitting materials to production, supplying finished goods to other internal customers.
Implement and deliver continuous improvement to the daily processes to enable the warehouse team to operate as efficiently as possible.
Own the training and development of your team, ensuing they are compliant and safe to work at all times while identifying opportunities for further training/upskilling as it arises.
Any other activity/task as and when requested by the Directors.

Work Experience

Warehouse management
FMCG environments
Seasonal demand/control experience in a process manufacturing environment
Proven experience in leading, training and motivating a varied team
HACCP / Quality System experience
Cider / Wine / Beer making experience

Skills

Broad technical knowledge and understanding of warehousing
Demonstrating a “hands-on” and “can do” approach and leadership

Qualifications

IoSCM/CIPS qualification or industry experience
IOSH/NEBOSH Qualification or demonstrable Health and Safety experience

Personal Qualities

Ability to communicate effectively to key contacts both internally and externally
Able to prioritise, manage deadlines and make decisions
