Designer
Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm is a family-run, admission-based visitor attraction and home to the thriving production house of the famous Rattler Cyder! Since the company was founded in 1980, Healeys has grown incredibly, with listings across big supermarket chains such as Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Asda and Morrisons, in addition to our regional and national wholesale partners. With a multi-faceted production facility specialising in a range of products from ciders, wines, preserves and spirits, our business is thriving and has a very exciting future ahead.
An exciting opportunity is available to join our busy Marketing team, to become a permanent part of an iconic Cornish Business, and to make your mark in this exciting role as Designer.
With support and direction from the Group Head of Marketing, this design role is responsible for delivering high-quality, on-brand graphic design across the Healeys portfolio.
Salary: £30,000 per year DOE
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm (on site)
Duties & Responsibilities
- Execute design across all owned channels, including (but not limited to) product packaging and labelling, retail posters and collateral, on-site POS, menus, digital assets, ad hoc projects, sales creatives, activations, and marketing initiatives.
- Conceptualise and design creative solutions in response to briefs, producing assets for packaging, advertising, brochures, presentations, social media graphics, website banners, and digital ads.
- Provide creative input and fresh design ideas while working within agreed brand guidelines and strategic direction set by the Marketing Manager and senior stakeholders.
- Communicate and work closely with the Marketing Manager to review work and gain sign-off on completed designs.
- Liaise with external suppliers on quotes, specifications, production requirements and turnaround times, supporting delivery and cost effectiveness.
- Maintain and improve existing marketing and brand collateral, proactively suggesting refinements where appropriate.
- Support the SLT and business owners on wider ad hoc design projects as required.
- Visual execution: Produce high-quality visuals that are consistently on-brand and aligned with Healeys visual identity.
- Project management: Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and prioritising workload effectively.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, brand, hospitality and sales teams to understand briefs and translate them into clear, engaging visual solutions.
- Stay updated: Keep abreast of relevant design trends, tools and technologies to ensure work remains current and effective.
- Support brand consistency: Ensure all visual assets align with brand guidelines and messaging across all touchpoints.
- Be knowledgeable about the Healeys brand portfolio and apply this understanding consistently across all work.
- Act with strong attention to detail at all times, thoroughly checking work before submission.
- Ensure artwork is saved, filed and versioned correctly in the appropriate formats, with files accessible to relevant departments.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties or tasks as requested by management.
Work Experience
- Proven experience producing a wide range of graphic design work across print and digital.
- Practical experience in a similar in-house or agency design role.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent in Graphic Design and/or Illustration
- Proficient knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
Skills
- Creative, commercially aware and passionate about strong design.
- Professional understanding of print processes and colour techniques.
- Experience in product and packaging design (desirable).
- Photography and/or videography skills (desirable).
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail.
