A fantastic opportunity is available to join our busy Logistics Team, to become part of an iconic Cornish business, and to make your mark in this important role as our Delivery Driver & Warehouse Assistant. The purpose of the role will be to run a professional, efficient and caring delivery service to our customers which meets, and wherever possible, exceeds, our customers’ expectations. The role will also support our busy Warehouse team during off-season periods where deliveries are quieter.

What does success in this role look like?

• Delivering our award-wining products to our long-standing customer base with profesionallism, care and attention
• Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers, promoting new products, so as to encourage continued and new trade.
• Working with the Supply Chain Manager to ensure the delivery plans are executed in an efficient, timely and consistent manner.
• Managing all paperwork and logs to ensure stock control is managed and customer deliveries are correct
• Maintaining the delivery van, ensuring all fluid levels are consistently checked and that any maintenance issues are raised quickly.
• Ensuring a best-practice and behaviour mindset is maintained while on the road, taking care to represent the brand to the highest standard at all times, while obeying speed limits and parking restrictions.
• Communicating with the logistics, sales and finance teams consistently, effectively, with professionalism and a strong teamwork attitude.
• Supporting with any forklifting, warehousing duties and online orders whenever necessary, particularly off-season when delivery numbers reduce.

While personality and fit are important to us, preference will be given to applicants who can showcase the following skills / experience:

• Driving experience
• Good knowledge of the local area
• Forklift experience
• Previous warehousing experience
• Full and clean UK Driving licence is essential!

Hours: Contracted minimum hours are 40 hours per week, typically 8-5 working over 5 days, flexible from Monday to Sunday. Some additional hours may be necessary to meet the demands of the job.

Salary: £10.50 per hour

Healeys is centrally located in Cornwall, just a couple of miles off the A30. Easy to find, we're on the A3075 in Penhallow – look out for the brown tourist signs!
