A fantastic opportunity is available to join our busy Logistics team, to become a permanent part of an iconic Cornish business, and to make your mark in this important role as one of our Forklift Drivers.

Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm is a family-run, admission-based visitor attraction and home to the famous Rattler Cyder! Since the company was founded in 1980, Healeys has grown incredibly, with listings across big Supermarket chains such as Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Asda and Morrisons, in addition to our regional and national wholesale partners. With a multi-faceted production facility specialising in a range of products from ciders, wines, preserves and spirits, our business is thriving and has a very exciting future ahead.

As a key member of our supply-chain facility, you will be working to help keep our warehouse and production operations running as efficiently and safely as possible, whilst upholding the high standards of work necessary to keep our products transported and stored safely and securely.

Hours: 40 hours, 5 days per week, with Monday to Sunday availability.

Salary: £10.50 per hour starting salary, with potential for performance-based pay reviews.

Your duties on a day-to-day basis will involve:

Managing all raw materials, packaging, finished goods and merchandise
Regular stock rotation and efficient material utilisation to achieve zero waste
The security of our stock and warehouse facilities
Regular stock-taking and inventory checks
Receipt and dispatch of goods, both internal and external
Communicating with other departments in the business to manage goods in and out
Securely and safely loading and unloading goods from vehicles
Maintaining Health & Safety compliance across the function

Ideal qualities we are looking for in candidates are:

A hands-on and can-do attitude to work, going over-and-above to support the various business functions.
Meticulous attention to detail, focusing on quality of work and safety at all time
Ability to think and react quickly to changes, taking ownership of issues and presenting solutions to keep things on track.
Exceptional customer service skills (internal and external), communicating clearly to to ensure efficient and safe stock handling.
Ability to work well as part of a team.
Preference will be given to applicants with drink / food experience but this is not essential.
Preference will be given to applicants with an existing telehandler licence.
