Right now, we are recruiting for a talented and self-driven individual to come and start their Healeys story supporting the Head of Hospitality in the Visitor Experience strategy. We are looking for an energetic, dynamic individual that can take responsibility, be adaptable and fundamentally be driven by delivering strong performance. 

Preference will be given to applicants with a strong retail / catering background, with a passion for customer experience and an exceptional eye for detail and saving costs.

Purpose of the role:

To manage the On-Site visitor experience and catering operations. Delivering a slick, customer focused, brand experience whilst driving revenue and improving margins.

Duties & Respoinsibilities:

  • Deliver efficient customer focused operations, staying ahead of the annual business trends 
  • Have a strong focus on recruitment, training and development 
  • Coordinate and refine the retail and catering offerings.
  • Drive revenue and improve margins 
  • Demonstrate control of finances through forecasting and budgets management 
  • Ensure all areas of the visitor operations are clean and presentable at all times.
  • Answer all feedback in an appropriate and timely manner
  • Have excellent knowledge of our products and business activities
  • Ensure compliance within the law in relation to sales of alcohol, SFBB and fire regs. Carry out any H&S actions required. Have a proactive approach to site compliance.
  • Seek out and deliver ‘brand’ and ‘commercial’ opportunities
  • Have an enthusiastic, positive and proactive approach to daily duties  
  • Have tight control over labor costs and departmental expenditure
  • To undertake any other duties at the director’s request

Salary: £32,000 to £36,000 per annum depending on experience.    

Hours: 40 hours per week relative to opening hours and seasonality. Early, evenings and weekend work will be required in line with business requirements.

Personal Qualities are important, and we look for candidate that have a solid background in the following: 

  • 2 years management and leadership experience gained in a customer facing environment
  • Financial and budgetary management and reporting
  • Proven commercial success, awareness and business acumen
  • A good knowledge of the Cornwall tourism industry
  • WSET Level 2 or above
  • Personal License Holder
  • First aid
  • Fire Marshall
  • Full clean driving license
