With an impressive schedule of events, alongside a multi-million-pound investment across a two-phase extension project, driving an exceptional Food & Beverage experience on-site has never been more important.

A fantastic opportunity is available to join a busy catering team, to become part of an iconic Cornish business, and to make your mark in this exciting role as a Deputy Food & Beverage Manager.

This role will give you a primary focus on assisting the Food & Beverage Manager in managing the smooth operations of all catering outlets on site, producing consistently excellent food of the very highest standard for our customers whilst delivering so in a cost effective, transparent and profitable manner.

Salary: £12.00 per hour

Hours: Minimum of 14 Hours per week, with an average of 35-40 hours per week, relative to opening hours and rota. This will include early evening & weekend work according to seasonal requirements.

Main responsibilities:

  • Assist in the safe, organized and well-planned running of all food and beverage outlets on the farm.
  • Operationally deliver the day to day business to ensure a smooth brand experience for each and every visitor in the Catering department
  • Opening and closing of all catering outlets, in accordance with procedures, checklists and merchandising guidelines.
  • Assisting with line-managing the catering team including induction and training of new staff
  • Managing day to day hours in line with budgeted wage percentage.
  • Problem solving within the catering department ensuring any issues are dealt with in line with company procedure.
  • Excellent product knowledge of menu’s along with Healey’s products and the farm visitor experience.
  • Maintain the strictest of hygiene standards across all catering outlets at all times to audit standard
  • Line-managing the Catering Supervisors to help them get the best out of their teams
  • Assist in events hosted at the farm
  • Assist in stocktaking and ordering for the catering department
  • Assist in FOH & BOH stock control and wastage and ensure it is recorded

Personal Qualities are important, and preference will be given to candidates with a solid skills in the following:

  • Excellent organizational skills with forward planning and vision

Relevant experience, raw skills and a fantastic attitude are preferred over qualifications, however preference will be given to applicants with the following qualifications:

  • Current Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Licensee Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
