Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm is a family-run, admission-based visitor attraction and home to the famous Rattler Cyder! Since the company was founded in 1980, Healeys has grown incredibly. With a multi-faceted production facility specialising in a range of products from ciders, wines, preserves and spirits, and a visitor experience boasting more than 130,000 visitors per year, our business is thriving and has a very exciting future ahead.

A fantastic opportunity is available to join our busy People team, to become part of an iconic Cornish business, and to make your mark in this important role as our People Business Partner. Working closely with the Head of Corporate Services, you will be responsible for the delivery of people agenda across the business. Working collaboratively with managers, championing the balance of commerciality with doing the right thing for our people. Driving the development of our teams and strengthening on our workplace culture.

Salary: £28,000 to £32,000 per annum, dependent on experience

Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

  • Sound knowledge of current employment law and best practice
  • Either a recognised HR qualification (CIPD or similar) or with a view to completing one
  • Demonstrable experience of coaching managers and leaders
  • Effective business partnering, demonstrating the right level of challenge and influence in order to drive results


While you will have generalist responsibilities, a focus on best practice is key. What does success look like in this role?

  • Working closely with the Head of Corporate Services to deliver the Company’s people strategy
  • Overseeing recruitment campaigns for key roles as well as enhancing the induction and onboarding process, ensuring new starters receive a fantastic welcome to the business
  • Managing employee relations casework, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence and performance management, supporting with organisational change activity such as redundancies and TUPE transfers
  • Identifying training needs at all levels, delivering solutions which enhance staff and management capability
  • Facilitating the roll out of engagement initiatives and surveys, identifying areas of opportunity and supporting localised action planning
  • Partnering department managers to drive team and individual performance, championing our performance and reward cycle
  • Supporting with the creation of workforce plans, including talent and succession reviews – ensuring we have a strong talent pipeline
  • Developing meaningful people data and reports which highlight key trends, and provide suitable commentary
  • Continuing to challenge the way in which we operate, identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring our people strategy aligns with our business objectives
