A fantastic opportunity is available to join our busy Kitchen team and make your markThis seasonal role will form an important part of our Summer F&B delivery as you head up our Rattler Bar. This role’s primary focus is on assisting the Head Chef and Second Chef, by ensuring the smooth operation of the Rattler Bar kitchen. You will run the area efficiently, ensuring an exceptional brand experience for visitors whilst maintaining impeccable food hygiene standards and controls and working with our small but strong FOH team to ensure an exceptional brand experience for our visitors.

Salary: £11 per hour, paid weekly.

Hours: Full time with an average of 30-40 hours, relative to opening hours and business levels. Day shifts only with latest finish 7pm in the height of summer. Must be able to work Fridays & Saturdays. Contract end-date 10th September.

Main responsibilities:

  • Running food service and operationally delivering a smooth and high-quality kitchen shift.
  • Opening and closing of food outlets, in accordance with the kitchen procedures, always ensuring a high level of cleanliness.
  • Following safer food better business, keeping all temp records and paperwork up to date.
  • Baking scones.
  • Managing and recording kitchen stock control and wastage.
  • Managing the safety element of the kitchen and reporting any health and safety issues to the head chef/ F&B manager.
  • Any other tasks, duties and responsibilities as requested by your line manager or director.

Personal Qualities are important, and preference will be given to candidates with a solid skills in the following:

  • Experience in a high-volume / high turnover environment.
  • Experience with baking
  • Must have kitchen experience.
  • Focus on excellence and high standards.
  • Ability to work with pace and a focus on productivity.
  • Willingness to learn and take hand at anything.
  • Can remain calm and focused under pressure.
  • Attention and eye for detail.
  • Able to work well as part of a team and support the Head Chef and Second Chef with any necessary work.

While we can offer this training in-house, ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:

  • Level 2 Food Safety qualification
  • First Aid / Fire Safety qualifications
