Healeys Apple Week
Apple Week event in Cornwall
In celebration of the nation’s favourite fruit during harvest season, the farm hosts its annual Apple Week in October during Half Term.
As one of Cornwall’s largest independent commercial orchards, Healeys supports National Apple Week to highlight the importance of orchards, fields and nature to humanity.
From learning about the care of 20 acres of orchards on a tractor ride or orchard walk, to entertainment with apple bobbing and pressing your own apples, it’s a fun day out for the whole family. Plus, there’s free entry and parking all day and dogs are welcome on a lead.
Cornish Apple Bobbing Championships
Fancy yourself a champion apple bobber? This is your chance to prove it. Returning to the farm for a third year, grown-ups and kids will be dunking and biting throughout the day for a shot at apple bobbing glory. Crowned King or Queen of the Orchards, the champion wins a meal for two in our Old Bottlery restaurant and a case of our cyder – or apple juice for the kids.
It’s free to get involved, with donations going to the Healeys Charitable Trust Fund. [Link: www.cornwallcommunityfoundation.com].
Press Your Own Apples
Transform your home grown fruit into apple juice and cyder with our free to use* apple mill and press at Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm during harvest season.
Our mill and press facilities offer those with an abundance of apples from their orchards or gardens the opportunity to press their own apples on a working Cornish cyder farm whilst those who don’t have their own apples, can purchase them at the farm from £10.
A hands-on activity for the whole family and great for children to learn how get juice from a favourite fruit.
