November Farm Update

November Farm Update

Published 3rd November, 2020 by Healeys Cyder Farm

As national restrictions come into place on the 5th of November, we would like to take this opportunity to update the local community and our visitors on how this will affect us here at the farm.

Firstly, we start with the positive news, during the national lockdown in March 2020, the UK Government guidance stated that off-licenses and licensed shops selling alcohol, including those within breweries were permitted to remain open, therefore, from the 5th of November, our brewery licensed shop at the front of the farm will be able to operate as normal between 9 am and 5 pm daily. Of course, if this guidance changes, we will close the brewery shop if advised to do so.

We'll continue to operate within our COVID-secure guidelines and policies, and more information about these safety precautions can be found near the bottom of this update.

In addition to keeping our brewery shop open, we'll also continue to offer our click & collect service for those who wish to order online and then collect safely and efficiently the following working day.

If you're unable to attend the farm to collect your online order, we use a national courier service to deliver orders all over the UK (mainland only) and FREE delivery is available on orders over £99.00. Shop online.

As of Thursday, 5th November 2020, in line with national restrictions, we will be closing access to all non-essential areas of the farm, including but not limited to;

  • Our onsite restaurant and bar
  • The farm courtyard
  • Farm animal enclosure
  • All tours and experiences, including Vintage Tractor Rides
  • The Cyder Museum, Press House, Jam Kitchen, Production Halls, Distillery & Cellars
  • Any scheduled events during the lockdown period, which sadly includes the Healeys Christmas Markets throughout November. Dates for December Christmas Markets will remain under review until further notice.

If you have booked an Annual Pass, Day Ticket, Tour, or Experience for dates between the 5th of November and 2nd of December, we have the following options for you;

  1. All tickets can be moved to a future date, beyond the 2nd of December, or if you are able to visit before the 5th of November, we can re-arrange your tickets to visit prior to the lockdown.
  2. All annual passes purchased for visits between the dates above will be honored for a future date. For example, your visit can be rescheduled for the 5th of December, and the 12-month validity on your pass will not start until the date of your first visit, ensuring you retain a full 12-month period on your entry pass.
  3. If for any reason we are unable to reschedule your visit, we will process a full refund for you.

Please contact Rosie at [email protected] with your booking reference & your preferred outcome and we'll take good care of you.

Here is a reminder of the precautions and measures we have in place to keep our customers safe during the pandemic;

  • You can view our "Staying COVID -19 Secure in 2020" sign-off by clicking here.
  • There is ample free parking available on-site, allowing you to park safely
  • A dedicated hand-washing facility is stationed at the entrance
  • There are separate entrance and exit doors, clearly signposted upon arrival
  • Contactless automatic doors
  • The brewery shop/off-license has a no-fuss one-way system, along with clearly marked 2m distancing and 4m gaps between the bays
  • Capacity within the shop will be capped at 15 people at any one time, allowing everyone to maintain the correct distance from each other, without impacting comfort.
  • No cash will be accepted on-site. Card / Contactless will be accepted.
  • Perspex screens have been installed on our checkout
  • We also have an online Click & Collect service with a dedicated collection point, open between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Regrettably, our onsite toilets, tours, catering, and farm areas remain closed. There will also be no free sampling available.

Locals cards are of course being accepted within the brewery shop, and our standard ‘Buy 2 cases get the third half price’ offer is active.

Finally and most crucially, all visitors who are displaying symptoms such as a fever, a cough, or shortness of breath, will be politely denied access to the shop and we ask for your understanding during these difficult and uncertain times.

Whilst we are open to allow in-store purchases and collections, we remain dedicated to providing a secure and reliable home delivery service and would urge our customers to explore this alternative, before traveling to the farm. We will also continue to provide home delivery both locally and nationally via courier.
