We are opening our farm shop!
Published 11th May, 2020 by Healeys Cyder Farm in General
It has been over a month since we closed our doors and life, as we knew it on the farm, came to a total standstill.
Our Cornish cyder & spirit production facility has remained operational, as we work to keep local and national shops & supermarkets stocked.
The decision to close was incredibly tough and like many other businesses, it came with a significant financial impact on our much-loved family business.
Government guidance was released and despite that Off-licenses and licensed shops selling alcohol, including those within breweries are permitted to remain open, the decision was made for all the right reasons, and without regret, until we are confident we could ensure the safety of our customers and our team, alongside social distancing measures.
Since closing, we transformed our distillery operation to spend time producing much-needed alcohol hand-rub instead of Rattler Cornish Gin. Our team has worked day and night, allowing us to donate 1000's of litres of alcohol hand-rub to Royal Cornwall Hospital, Treliske - something we are incredibly proud of. We were also in a position to create a supply-line for other emergency services, surgeries, care homes, plus many other front-line organisations that are in desperate need of sanitary products.
We also launched our new website and online shop, which improved the online shopping experience for our customers.
Recently, we offered an initiative for free local delivery throughout Cornwall (you may have seen the famous Rattler Van down your street!), alongside a free national delivery offer - subject to minimum order requirements.
Over the recent weeks, we have been working hard behind the scenes to transform our Visitor Center, which would eventually allow us to re-open and permit local customers to safely purchase & collect their goods.
As of Wednesday, 13th May 2020 - we will re-open our shop within the Visitor Center with very strict safety measures in place.
Here is what we have done to keep our customers safe;
Locals cards are of course being accepted on-site, and our standard ‘Buy 2 cases get the third half price’ offer is active.
Finally and most crucially, all visitors who are displaying symptoms such as a fever, a cough, or shortness of breath, will be politely denied access to the shop and we ask for your understanding during these difficult and uncertain times.
Whilst we are opening to allow in-store purchases and collections, we remain dedicated to providing a secure and reliable home delivery service and would urge our customers to explore this alternative, before traveling to the farm. We will also continue to provide home delivery both locally and nationally via courier.
