We have an exciting opportunity to become the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO).

Salary - Up to £60,000 DOE

The Chief Compliance Officers role is to protect all Healeys companies from scrutiny.

CCO will report to Special Projects and work closely with all senior managers within the business. The objective of the role being to standardize and ensure compliance business wide.

Overview

  • Ensuring standardization is achieved across the business with the direct report of the Compliance Officers. The objective being to standardize and ensure compliance business wide.
  • Working closely with the CEO and COO on the implementation of standardization and compliance across the business.
  • Ensuring that all company’s activities and policies comply with the legal requirements and protocols. You will be expected to carry our regular procedures and policy reviews, risk assessment, HACCP, monitor the QMS program, ensuring controls are in place to ensure quality and safety of the company, employees and its costumers.
  • To ensure company wide Health and Safety compliance in all activity.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Implementing the bowtie effect and embedding it as the culture for improvement across the business.
  • Keep up to date with, and understand, relevant laws and regulations, ensuring compliance monitoring with law, Regulations and internal policies are always in place.
  • Implementing, embedding, and maintaining a management system which enables sustainability through standardisation.

Proactively reviewing with all managers across all businesses the policies, procedures, and risk assessments to continuously improve ways of working.

  • Monitoring compliance against policies, procedures, and specifications, identifying situations where the business operates outside these parameters and implementing change to bring any non-conformance back inline.
  • Ensuring the compliance audits and spot checks against policies, procedures, and risk assessments, are regularly conducted and highlighting areas of opportunity.
  • Ability to work independently, exercising good initiative and judgment.
  • Ensuring compliance with environmental legislation.
  • To be open to completing tasks which may fall outside of your role or remit with a positive, sleeves rolled up mentality.

General Requirements

  • Continuous evaluation of department's performance and achievement of KPI's to improve performance.

Experience

  • Food & Drink industry essential, bottling & kegging especially.
  • Seasonal demand/control experience in a process manufacturing environment.
  • Management responsibility.
  • Cross functional team activity.
  • Staff Training and team motivation.
  • Management of performance standards.
  • Cider/Beer making experience.
  • HACCP/Quality System experience.
  • Quality auditing experience.
  • Organoleptic skills/experience.
  • Health & Safety at work experience and knowledge.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Report writing and presentation skills.

Education/Qualification Requirements

  • Food/Drink/ Management Qualification.
  • Educated to degree level in appropriate discipline.
  • Trained Assessor – Quality Systems.
  • Health & Safety.

  • Able to prioritise, manage deadlines, make decisions and negotiate.
  • Have good problem solving skills, calm quick clear decisions.
  • Flexible approach.
  • Self confident, self reliant and decisive.
  • Able to lead and motivate staff.
  • Have good communication skills.
  • Broad technical knowledge and understanding of scheduling/control problems.
  • Be comfortable working under pressure.
  • Be good with figures and information technology.
  • Demonstrating a “hands-on” and “can-do” approach and leadership.
