Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm is a family-run, admission-based visitor attraction and home to the thriving production house of the famous Rattler Cyder! Since the company was founded in 1980, Healeys has grown incredibly, with listings across big supermarket chains such as Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Asda and Morrisons, in addition to our regional and national wholesale partners. With a multi-faceted production facility specialising in a range of products from ciders, wines, preserves and spirits, our business is thriving and has a very exciting future ahead.

An exciting opportunity is available to join our busy Sales team, to become a permanent part of an iconic Cornish Business, and to make your mark in this exciting role as Account Manager - North Cornwall & Devon.

A field-based role with a diverse customer base, you will be flexible and adaptable in your approach, build relationships with new and existing outlets, as well as with new and existing RTM.

Start Date - January 2025

Salary - £33,000 per year, £3000 annual STIP

Hours - 40 hours per week. Flexibiity may be required due to nature of the role. 

Key Deliveries

  • Understand and meet core company goals/objectives.
  • Achieve or exceed personal sales in line with pre-set Company requirements ensuring we capitalize on all opportunities through existing account base.
  • Ensure market and product knowledge is accurate and up to date. Identify target markets and opportunities for new business.
  • Have clear ownership of sales volume & variances on a weekly/monthly basis creating action plans from the data output.
  • Analyse trends, collect feedback from customers and compile market research information. Maintain the Company’s customer database, brewery sales extractions & monitor purchase variances and action accordingly.
  • Evaluate on-trade marketing spend in key accounts to ensure it is utilized appropriately and within the agreed budget.
  • Spend time in trade developing business ‘on the ground’
  • Deal with key customers on a personal basis and others as necessary to maintain customer care. Identify and develop relationships with future potential accounts.
  • Attend meeting conferences and trade days. Identify, set up, organize and staff the company’s stand at local, regional and national trade fairs.
  • Be open to completing tasks which may fall outside of your role or remit with a positive, sleeves rolled up mentality.
  • Any other activity/tasks as and when requested by the Directors.

Work Experience

  • Drink industry – Brand/RTM/Hospitality
  • Knowledge of local tourism and hospitality industry
  • Proven ability to develop and drive on and off-site activities, which are in line with the company ethos, that are quantifiable and financially measurable
  • Merchandising / marketing experience

Qualifications

  • Corporate Membership of Chartered Institute of Marketing and/or Institute of Sales and Marketing Management or minimum 2:1 degree in a relevant subject

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability in relationship building
  • Extensive experience and knowledge in identifying, proposing and securing new business
  • Merchandising/marketing background
  • Excellent literacy and numeric skills
  • Written and verbal communication
  • Ability to motivate a diverse sales team
  • IT skills: Microsoft Office, Pegasus Opera
