Warehouse Picker & Packer (POSITION CLOSED)

Objective:

The primary objectives of the role are:

To organise and maintain a good flow for dispatching orders mainly through our online sales.

Picking and building pallets for dispatching to on-site and off-site customers.

Picking orders for Local Dispatch deliveries.

Ensuring no picking errors and minimal customer complaints.

Forklift experience preferred.

Overview:

This role is responsible for planning, distribution, and quality control of a wide range of goods.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Logistics Team Leader to organise and dispatch orders and deliver exceptional after-sales care.
• Reporting inventory availability across the retail and catering sites and central warehouse.
• Stocktaking direct consumables to fulfill your role.
• Keeping inventory accurate and the ability to implement a stock control system.
• Maintaining a FIFO stock rotation system.
• Maintaining a clean & tidy working environment.
• Challenging Invoices for anyone taking stock.
• Maintaining a high level of care when Loading any vehicles on site.
• Making sure that gates are shut to keep members of the public out of harm’s way.

Work experience:

The food & Drink industry preferred, bottling & kegging especially.

Seasonal demand/control experience in a process manufacturing environment.

Able to work in a fast-paced environment and cope with high levels of change.

Cross-functional team activity.

Forklift experience preferred

Self-confident, self-reliant and decisive, able to lead and motivate staff, and have good communication skills

Broad technical knowledge and understanding of scheduling/control problems

Demonstrating a “hands-on” and “can-do” approach and leadership
